Before we left on tour, we had been recording the first half of our new album with our good friend Hillary Johnson. Three weeks in the studio, then one day to prepare for our departure. Uploaded some recording shots here.
On our one day to prepare, David and I made our own cheap, but incredibly useful pedal boards. Took our set-up time down to maybe 2 minutes! David was very proud.

Grabbed Adam and his mongoloid bucket...

Then grabbed some food...

Before hooking up the trailer to our ride and heading out of town.

San Francisco at Bottom of the Hill was our first stop. Played with Swann Danger, who were as tight and intense as I'd ever seen them. Lead singer Cyn has an incredible voice and stage presence that makes even the toughest tough guys cower in their boots. The woman is fierce. I love her.
Next, Silver Factory Studios in Los Angeles. Our friend Dannie and Robert run the club and it's easily one of my favorite places to play in LA. Nice people, good sound, and they treat the bands really well. I can't stress enough how this can be a real rarity in the touring-band world. These guys are gold. Here we got to meet up with an old friend who was visiting from Australia. Mr Jim Galindo. Jim is responsible for amazing pictures like this one, which is one in a series of helmet+Prids shirt+new exotic location.. This one was taken in Barcelona. I'm looking forward to the new one!

Next we shot a video for a new song "Waste Our Time" with another old friend of my and David's, Tom Cabela. Shot in a pretty neat burlesque club in downtown LA called Bordello. I don't want to give away too many spoiler details, but the day consisted of us being drenched in water and playing our instruments. Here is a shot of Maile and Joey and The Terminator cameraman!

The crew and Tom were incredible to work with. Our greatest thanks for all your hard work guys!
Next we headed to San Diego to play some shows with Built to Spill. I've got some pretty hilarious green room antics on video, but have yet to upload it. Highlights: Brett wearing his Prids shirt AND having 2 Prids stickers on his bass (so funny!), Joey's Exorcist-like projectile vomiting post-show. And quite possibly the best quote ever "... I can't believe I inspired that douche". It was a GREAT TIME. Here's Doug and Brett Nelson at Solana Beach.

Here was my view as I listened to the new We Miss The Earth album.

I could get used to seeing that everyday...
We also played Radio Room in SD with a great band that deserve a shout out: QQC. They were super sweet AND such a great band. Can't wait to play with them again.
Next we headed up to Berkley for our last show at Gilman Street. People dance at Gilman, punks, I love you. I don't have a pic for the Gilman experience, but I have some other random ones...
Electric flyswatter. This seemed like a good idea. Nothing better than shocking each other in the van for fun.

Hey random lady who insisted we take a melon at the gas station... Joey hates your melon.

That's our tour wrap up. Stay tuned. We like doing this blog thing.
